Volunteer! Contribute time, expertise, or labor!
Bloomington Boogies appreciates all who help! A list of volunteer activities will be posted as we get closer to the festival. In 2025 volunteers helped with the following:
- Distribute posters and information in Bloomington and surrounding communities beginning Oct. 8.
- Meet, greet, transport, and/or escort artists from and to IND airport; and/or transport artists locally Oct. 19, 20, and/or 21. A few volunteers will be paired with specific artists who may need to be driven several times.
- Set-up at Monroe County History Center, 202 E 6th St, Bloomington, IN 47408, at Noon, Sunday, Oct. 19.
- Take down tables and chairs at Monroe County History Center at 2:30 p.m., after concert/workshop.
- Help load-in and set-up of sound equipment at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 at FAR Center for Contemporary Arts, 202 S Rogers St, Bloomington, IN 47404.
- Help tear down and load-out sound equipment at 8:45 p.m., Oct. 19 at FAR Center for Contemporary Arts.
- Assist FAR Center with set-up of tables and chairs at 2 p.m., Oct. 19 at FAR Center for Contemporary Arts.
- Staff tables and check-in participants and observers at 12:30 p.m., Oct. 19 at Monroe County History Center.
- Assist in selling merchandise at Monroe County History Center during afternoon concert/workshop from 1:30 - 2:45 p.m., Oct. 19.
- Pick up food and beverages from Bloomingfoods for artists backstage, Sunday, Oct. 19, time TBA.
- Take tickets/check in public/sell tickets at FAR Center for Contemporary Arts, 202 S Rogers St, Bloomington, IN 47404. prior to and during evening concert, Oct. 19 beginning at 4 p.m.; several two-hour shifts. Two volunteers needed who have iphones or ipads, who are available for a one-hour meeting Sept. 10, 2 p.m. in Bloomington.
- Assist in selling artists' merchandise at FAR Center for Contemporary Arts from 4:30 p.m. until around 9 p.m., Oct. 19; several two-hour shifts.
- Assist FAR Center with tear-down of tables and chairs after conclusion of concert, around 8:45 p.m., Oct. 19.
- Take photos and videos at venues on Oct. 19 and at Jackson Creek Middle School (10:30 a.m.) and/or Templeton Elementary (2:30 p.m.) on Oct. 20.
